Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that a comprehensive mock drill will be conducted tomorrow, May 7, 2025, as part of a nationwide initiative to assess and enhance the country’s emergency preparedness and security protocols.
The announcement was made during the 56th Anniversary celebrations of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), where Minister Shah emphasized the importance of such drills in strengthening the nation’s security infrastructure.
The mock drill tests the readiness and coordination among various emergency response teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), local police units, and other relevant agencies. It will simulate various emergency scenarios to evaluate the effectiveness of current response strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Citizens are advised not to panic upon witnessing increased emergency activity during the drill. Authorities have assured that all necessary precautions will be taken to ensure public safety and minimal disruption to daily activities.
