🇮🇳 PM Modi Sends Strong Message to Pakistan in Latest Address – May 12, 2025

In a nationally broadcast speech on May 12, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a clear and powerful message regarding India’s stance on Pakistan. The address, amid rising regional tensions and global attention on South Asia, emphasized India’s commitment to peace—but not at the cost of its security and sovereignty.

 Peace With Accountability

Modi stated, “India has always chosen the path of peace. But peace cannot be sustained when terrorism is used as a weapon by our neighbours.” The Prime Minister reaffirmed India’s long-standing position that meaningful dialogue with Pakistan can only occur if the latter takes concrete steps to eliminate terror infrastructure operating from its soil.

“Terror and Talks Cannot Go Hand in Hand”

Echoing a familiar stance, PM Modi reiterated that “terror and talks cannot go hand in hand”, signaling that India remains open to dialogue, but not under the shadow of cross-border violence. This statement comes in the wake of multiple intelligence alerts and ceasefire violations along the Line of Control in recent weeks.

International Support

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the growing global understanding of India’s position. “Today, the world sees what India has been saying for decades—terrorism is a threat to all humanity,” he said, referring to increasing international pressure on Pakistan to act against extremist elements.

A Message to the People of Pakistan

Interestingly, Modi also addressed Pakistan’s citizens directly. He expressed hope that the youth and civil society there would rise above political propaganda and push for peace, prosperity, and cooperation in the region. India has no enmity with the people of Pakistan. Our issue is with those who sponsor hate and bloodshed, he said.

India’s Commitment to Security

In his closing remarks, PM Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to defending its borders and protecting its citizens. He praised the armed forces for their vigilance and warned that “any provocation will be met with a strong response.”
